I mostly just watch for the incredibly well animated fights. If I have time/like the characters I'll watch the whole video as I do find the hosts personalities at least tolerable and I do like that they started growing as characters and eventually got their own appearance.

Just watching the fights is actually pretty entertaining but I always scramble to turn it off before the post-commentary kicks in

Some of them are good and some of them are bad, it's basically luck of the draw.

I don't really like the fights or the hosts, but I appreciate the character breakdowns. Makes me feel like I have a good grip on characters I don't know and sometimes I learn things about the ones I do.

Early DB was fucking dumb at times (Doom Guy VS Chief, Toph VS Garra, etc) with some obvious bullshit and gimme results. Pretty much any fight involving a FF7 character was stupid for one reason or another.
It did seem to get better later on once they supposedly promoted the research guys though.
