For me, i will always advocate for more LGBT representation in media. However, where i draw the line is where people use it to direct hate on other people.

The hardline of what i consider SJW is deranged people who use LGBT rights for the guise spreading hate, like that one bioware employee who post pic about drinking from a mug with "white people tears" and basically advocating white genocide, or crazy tumbrls about similar stuff, crying cis-scum and utter other hateful words.

History revisionism is also up there i guess it can be a slippery slope. The line is a bit blur, but overall history revisionism is bad especially within the context of the setting in said media, etc.

Example like SJW crying over rape exist in medieval setting (even if the act are portrayed as a negative thing) or demanding to shoehorn african descent actors in historical europe setting of kingdome come deliverance (again, can be a slippery slope and it CAN be done with care and condition that makes their presence makes sense in said setting. Real life example is sengoku era japan, nobunaga oda have an escaped african slave working as samurai, that is written in historical records available publicly)

You advancing lgbt rights for the sake of advancing rights is not a sjw.

However, a person who is like " I NEED to change the world. My VOICE must be heard!"
And then seeks to advance lgbt rights to bandwagon a cause and pat themself on the back is a sjw.
Said person will also look for people who don't favor lgbt rights and seek to destroy them rather than persuade them.

People who complain about my big tittied anime waifus in video games. Oh, and people who want manholes to be referred to as maintenance holes because manholes promotes gendered language, or something nutty like that.

People who act shitty, delusional or downright insane in regards to superficial issues for no other apparent reason than to gain popularity, appease guilt or foster a sense of victimhood.

Typically these tend to be your slacktivist and twitter psycho types.

But here is the thing. These type of people are disgusting but are no more than a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things. They should be ignored because the second you try to "combat" them in any way you turn yourself into the same thing on the opposite end.

I've seen several dozen people on CE bitch about this happening and a grand total of 0 people advocate for the change in the first place.

It was on some Berkeley document. It was mentioned offhand, but I laughed at it and thought it was redic that it was even someones thought to put in a document. I doubt anyone is actually out advocating for the rights of manholes, I just thought it was funny.

Someone who overreacts to nothing like comedy (race, gender, etc for example). Or someone who overreacts to someone else overreacting (aka the anti-SJW's). Ones who don't know how to lighten up.

Contradictory identity politics more focused on finding an aggressor to hate than actually solving social issues. Feminists are not inherently SJW because there are legitimate issues out there, but the ones that focus on nonsense the pink tax, the wage gap, and manspreading are SJW.

Instead of fighting properly for a cause, they use their own projection and insecure nature to bully and hurt others to satisfy their egos.
