Even just a few months ago I never would have considered rocking one. I've always thought they looked goofy on anyone who wasn't in an 80's movie. But I've noticed a few, and I mean a very small few people having them lately that didn't look so absurd to me. Distinguished would be nearer the mark. It was kind of the same thing I noticed in 2011 when a few guys (including myself) were bold enough to grow a full beard. By 2012 they were mega popular, and in present day you're going against the grain if you don't at least have a heavy stubble.

Conveniently, I've already planned to be Freddie Mercury for Halloween this year. I think I'll keep the mustache afterwards and be ahead of the curb again.

Yeah I see them more often. Hipsters were rocking them earlier in the decade too but I felt that was a more ironic look. Now I see a good amount of dudes just with the porn stache

Yeah, but make sure you can rock one properly though. Some guys try and it just looks like a pedo stash.

Idubbbz is rockin' a pedo stash imo. I enjoy the guy's content but I don't think he can pull it off well. I don't know how it was such a good look for so many of our dads or guys from the 70's and 80's in general, but it doesn't look quite right on most guys today.

I agree, way too many guys wear it when they definitely shouldn't but I feel like that's a trend, considering how many of those rat whiskers I've seen.

Don't worry. I'm a hot guy who can pull things off. In 2015 when I talked about growing my hair out, people were like "Oh my GOD, no. Don't do that." In 2018 after I cut it all off, a few girls actually cried because they liked my hair so much.

Beards have been increasingly popular since around 2005 and mustache growing since 2010.

Ive had a Magnum PI stache for the better part of 6 years. Used to catch shit for it but now a ton of people have em.

I think it's more of a maturity thing. It only looks good on dudes who have aged enough. Since I'm about to be 30 in 4 months, maybe that's why I'm starting to notice it more.

Goatees are worse imo. Some people can rock a mustache, no one rocks a goatee. The goatee is about as consistently unflattering as cargo shorts.

The addition of this guy in r6, and having him on the title screen no less, might also be adding bias to my perception that I'm seeing more dudes with mustaches.
