I think the new system actually encourages everyone to accept it because the 7 days window until it disappears makes it more attractive than having to wait 45 days if you fail and it builds up your history.

So even if you think you were wronged and demand a re look, the odds of it getting overturned are much slimmer now.

If they had a second round of voting, say all the newbie mods vote first round and the lead and vet mods vote in the second, then i can see it be worth disputing but now it's just easier to say accept.

I just accept and move on. Best to have it removed from history asap than appeal which is often unlikely to be overturned.

It's even worse now since it doesn't have any step wherein a mod might offer an explanation for why your post was modded.

On a clean history, my alt got suspended for quoting a username, editing out their post, and pointing out their comment was racist. I edited out the post that got them warned because quoting moddable posts has been against the rules... And I got warned for flaming the other user. Based on context I'm guessing that means pointing out a post is racist is now tantamount to calling the other user racist.

Its worse now that the appeal voting system has zero transparency. You dont get to see any vote counts, you dont get any explanation or clarification on your contest statement, and the threshold for an overturn is ludicrously high.
