Writing in Drugs As Weapons Against Us, author John Potash claimed 2Pac, whose mother Afeni was a Black Panther activist, was politicising black street gangs. His book alleges US intelligence agencies were worried about political gangs and saw Tupac at the forefront, reported Mirror Online. Potash writes: "In line with Tupacs quote 'I never had a record until I made a record', police arrested him close to a dozen times on dubious charges, most of which were dismissed. "In Los Angeles, the FBI would accumulate a 4,000-page on Tupac." The book further claims law enforcement was reportedly worried that Tupac, famous for albums such All Eyez on Me, was trying to bring peace among LA's Bloods and Crips gangs. It claimed that some cops employed by Death Row Records, the company Tupac was signed to, were in fact "covert agents". She has a weird FBI file that almost entirely obscured by black ink.
