So ive just got the platinum trophy and unlocked everything on very easy, but now I want to play on harder difficulties with all of my stuff.

Can I? Or if I start on a higher difficulty I have start from scratch again?

I know on MGS2 you can load up your cleared save file and increase the difficulty with all of your unlocks in the new game, but MGS3 doesnt seem to give me that option.

Anyone know?

IIRC, you can only use your new game+ with the unlocked weapons and camo on the same difficulty. You need to restart everything if you want to change difficulty.

Which makes is especially harder than MGS2 because you need to constantly watch your stamina / eating habits in 3.

Yeah I think this is right. I really couldnt remember cause I think ive only changed difficulty once in my many plays. I generally play on easier difficulties cause I either like to perfect stealth or go Rambo no in between. But i decided I wanted to say ive beat it on normal so I did.

Yea my plan was trying out normal - hard - Extreme.

But now Ill just go with hard.

Are the bosses on MGS3 Extreme as annoying to deal with as MGS2 bosses on extreme difficulty?

I never played it on extreme, but the only frustrating ones I remember (on my hardest difficulty) were Ocelot and the Fury. Ocelot because he had tons of guys shooting at you, and Fury because the fire would fuck you up

I never played it on extreme, but the most frustrating ones I remember (on my hardest difficulty) were Ocelot and the Fury. Ocelot because he had tons of guys shooting at you, and Fury because the fire would fuck you up

Fury was always thr hardest fight to me.
