It was great and FULL of Fanservice.

I disagree.

Sure Rev 2 was great but that was a side game only played by fanboys.

Leon in RE4 acts like nothing in RE2.

Leon in RE6 acts nothing like RE2 or 4

Chris not only acts differently but has an entirely different backstory in RE6.

The use of Jill in RE5 was embarrasing (except the prequel DLC Extra whatever bit."

Sure Jill in RE3 was good and CV was good. But they're old now.

But look how strong RE7 was just by starting fresh.
Jake Muller was the only campaign in RE6 that actually had emotion in it.

Chris, Jill, Leon returning in RE4,5 and 6 added absolutely nothing and the games would have been fine (if not better) with new protags with new personalities.

I say use new characters and new ideas with exisiting ones only popping up when relevant or being referenced in notes.

And reuse the old ones in the side games like Rev for the people that miss them.

I really don't want RE8 to be Chris and Leon again in a Lab shooting blob monsters with AK-47s.

RE7 and the RE2make just showed how that's not the direction RE needs to go.

I kinda want to know what happened to Jill after RE5 even if she doesn't actually turn up.

And speaking of 5, seeing Sheva again would be cool.

But I'd rather the protags be new people. I don't get what "Oh look it's Carlos!" would add to RE8.

Unless he's like the villain or something. That could work.
