Saw a youtube video that said "uploaded 9 years ago" and for some reason I thought "oh so like 2006". Then I saw the exact date I was like "oh.... man."

Growing up is like being in a car that takes a while to hit top speed. You floor it but it feels like everything is going in slow motion. Finally it starts to pick up speed and before you know it you're practically flying down the road. You couldn't be happier. The wind is in your hair and the sun kisses your skin. But then you see that you're heading toward a cliff so you hit the brakes, but the brakes do nothing. You're still picking up speed and the cliff is getting closer and closer.

I had this conversation yesterday with a coworker. He bought his kid a 2010 car for getting their license. My initial thought was wow lucky kid getting an almost new car... Then I realized my first car was 9 years old when I bought it lol
