Can fires that wild eventually stop themselves or are we mere days away from having no amazon rain forest left and simply scorched earth hundreds of miles long?

You'd think all the rain they have in the rain forest would have put it out by now.

He could be responsible for global warming being decades ahead of where it should be.

Forests are naturally supposed to catch fire and burn out. Unfortunately we intervene and stop them from happening, causing mass build up of sediment so that when they do finally catch fire they burn on a massive scale out of proportion to what nature intended. Hence the reason some of the woods out west are ticking time bombs/wildfires waiting to happen.

I am not sure how Brazil polices the rainforest from an ecological standpoint but this honestly might be nature doing nature . The question is will it recover under our influence the way its supposed to

You do realize that the rainy season is a) a season, and b) runs from mid-december to mid-may.

So, yeah. Do some fucking research before posting stupid shit and looking like an ass.

Pretty much.

We need to stop building towns in the middle of huge ass forests in wildfire prone areas.

Rumors are the fires were started by farmers. Not really a natural occurrence. As soon as Bolsonaro became president this was destined to happen. If he wasnt president theres no chance these fires would be occurring right now. Hes responsible in some way.

The planet took up smoking at the wrong time.

Jokes aside, it'll either be a massive collective effort or maybe some rain will kick in to help but... I doubt it.

Imagine something that has been around for millions of years being gone within the first year of Bolsonaros presidency. When global warming and climate change destroy the earth eventually, he will be cited as the man who started it all with his do whatever the fuck you want to the Amazon mindset. Truly one of the worst Presidents of a country to ever exist

Hopefully they succeed. If a large fire like this goes unchecked, were not getting that forest back for a LONG time.

Unless you are going to kill the farmers off. You won't be putting out the fires. 2017 was worse. Most of the fires are from farms land that was already deforested.
