Well... Khajiit vampire does look cool. And then there's the necromage stuff if you want a different playthrough.

Having to feed and not regenerating in the sun makes role-playing sense but that wasn't something I ever wanted to deal with. I didn't even play with the Atronach sign in Oblivion despite people encouraging me to just use stones and potions.

Pre-Dawnguard Vampire definitely wasn't my cup of team because stage four vampirism made NPCs turn hostile.

I admit werewolf seems like it would be a decent choice if you don't really want to be anything. You get 100% disease resistance but disease is a minor inconvenience because fast travel makes shrines available just about everywhere.

I actually had more of hassle not being able to interact with stuff, fitting through narrow spaces and having to put my equips back on after the transformation. However, I love the experience boost from sleeping (and stacking with bugged Aetherial Crown).

Try being a vampire in morrowind. Skyrim is a cakewalk by comparison. Werewolf was also kinda bad cause you couldnt control when you changed aside from having hircines ring which allowed you to change into one without having the disease

I only opted for werewolf during the Companions questline. Even then, the whole game is very streamlined and this elite guild of warriors is very quick to welcome you in.

I remembered when Morrowind was given away for free but I missed the deadline shortly after. I probably wouldn't have played it to be honest.

I loved Oblivion on PS3 and bought the GoTY for PC after Skyrim's release and I have a really hard time playing it.

In morrowind nobody will deal with you as a vamp. You take damage from sunlight period no stages or anything its just always that way. And with no fast travel outside silt striders and boats whom you must talk to someone and pay for you practically have zero fast travel options and most questlines become undoable.

As for werewolf as said you domt have control over when you change outside knowing what time of day it happens. You cant open doors iirc and if people see you change they remember and become permanently hostile iirc.
