The problem isn't the pit bulls themselves, it's the image they give. They are seen as a tough, cool, and manly dog.

This attracts some of the worst people who have no business owning any pet, let alone one as potentially dangerous as a pit without the proper training.

It's sad and nothing will change any time soon.

Pits attract shitty owners. Shitty owners make for aggressive dogs. Aggressive pits attract more shitty owners. It's a brutal cycle.

Doesn't really help that pits really are buff as fuck and pretty goddamn powerful, so they're especially attractive to shitty owners

Bc people use them as nanny dogs. They are fierce protectors. And sweet as pie. Unless someone raises them to be assholes.

Yup. The sweetest dog Ive ever had was a pit mix. So empathetic. Dumb as a rock though.

Despite all that though, they really need to go extinct. Just spay and neuter until it works itself out. It also wouldnt hurt to make it illegal for most people to own them at all.

Some people shouldnt own dogs. Pit bulls are awesome though.
