America's public transportation sucks because the automobile industry lobbied to have America focus on automotive infrastructure rather than infrastructure for public transportation. They wanted to make Americans reliable on cars so they could sell more. We should've had high speed rails decades ago, but money rules our government so we don't.

Society becomes more and more metropolitan over time, more concentrated, and subways/metros serve these areas really well

They cant make excuses forever

I live in vancouver where transits pretty decent, and it's great
