Every Trapinch I caught was shitty, except for a shiny that is low CP but with decent appraisal.
I didn't get enough to power him up at all though so he's just stuck as a like 900CP Flygon now lol.

Why the fuck are they doing Community Day so early now? It would make sense in the summer when it's hot out but in Fall it's chillier in the morning. Plus my wife and I didn't wake up till noon yesterday so we missed an hour and a half of it.

Well I stand incredibly corrected lol. Halloween event this year features no new wild Pokemon. Just fucking Pikachu and Kanto starters wearing costumes, plus increase of Dark + Ghost types and debut of Darkrai in raids.

The lolzy part is Squirtle will be wearing a Yamask hat, instead of, you know, just letting us catch Yamask lol.

Pleasantly surprised by how it all sounds. I thought people getting themselves all worked up with doom and gloom assumptions was silly, but did have my fears. But all you're really missing out on if you don't pay is a badge and poses - Regigigas will be available in EX raids soon after and the rest is stuff you can get through normal gameplay anyways. Basically paying for early access, a few goodies, and an afternoon of raiding and whatever other objectives there will be.

Yamask is a cute little ghost that carries a mask around. Pokedex states that it's rumored they're actually spirits of dead people and they try to find masks that look like their faces when they were still alive.
Also sometimes they look at the mask to remind themselves what they looked like and they cry about it. (Because Gamefreak loves writing fucked up shit about these beloved kids games lol)

They evolve into a really cool sarcophagus named Cofagrigus who, fun fact, was banned from online at its debut because the automatic censor system detected the f-word in the middle of its name lol.

2.) So is the regigigas questline only available via paying? I know it's going to be available in raids later, but I despise raids and have never gone out of my way to participate in a 5 star one. Will the special quest be available later on as well, or no? If so, that's really fucking bad. I've been so high on niantic since they turned the game around, but this is a huge step backwards.

Yeah. That's what I had to do. Just catch everything any time I was playing. I've also caught a few not even meaning to because I catch everything still for dust.
