"The Thing" from 2011 with Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a prequel to the 1982 film. I enjoyed it. "The Thing From Another World" from 1951 wasn't bad compared to other movies from that time. They were walking around outside in -60 with just a light jacket and they left a bunch of sled dogs outside at night. And the way people argued back then was kind of comical.
