Yeah. An Alpha Booster pack for MTG, which is 15 cards, goes for about $7,000 now. A Booster Box goes for about $100k

Also, people are gonna pull that lottery/bet on game shit on you. Even though they don't actually know any numbers or scores to anything

Speak for yourself. If you follow sports then at the very least you should be able to rattle off every championship winner since you were 10. I can easily name every nfl and nba champion, I can probably get a lot of nba and college football and basketball as well. Not to mention boxing, which you can get by with a casual knowledge. For example, Floyd mayweather is undefeated so you already know the result of all of his fights. You could do the same with Mike Tyson, all of his losses were high profile.

This is assuming if you traveled back in time, everything would turn out exactly the same, as if the universe is scripted.

I follow a different philosophy. That if time travel were possible, the universe operates more like a dice-rolling mechanism. If I rolled an actual set of dice, then traveled back in time 10 seconds and rolled again, I believe I would get different results each time.

Yeah you could make a lot more than 10M if you went back, but having an adult mind at 10 would cause some crazy stuff to happen. 10M is enough for most people to not have to worry about money if you are somewhat smart about it.

Give me the time travel. I'd be old enough to invest in a few things like bitcoin by the time they came around so I'd easily make more than $10 mil there. I'm also pretty damn sure I could convince my parents that my consciousness was from the future. There would be investment opportunities galore.

Plus, it'd be nice to go back to a time with zero responsibilities. Everyone has a few regrets, and I wouldn't feel bad about fixing them since I'd already gone through it once and learned from my mistakes. I'd miss my current friends a lot though... It'd be hard holding off on making contact with them until the time was right.

This. My parents would listen to me about Amazon, Google, ebay, etc.. (I was 10 in 1996.) Then I'd dump $10K into bitcoin in 2010 and let it sit. I wouldn't change anything else because the other mistakes I made weren't as bad so I'd probably just repeat them lol.

Just betting as much money as you have in 2004 at the start of the season that the Red Sox will sweep the World Series will set you up for ten lifetimes. No one would take you seriously if you made that bet. They would all think you are crazy so the odds would be like a million to one. You would essentially have nine years to save every penny you ever come across to put everything up for that bet. If you could make a 30,000 dollar bet you would come out with a million or more most likely.

That's it? Lol imagine buying $30K in Amazon shares at $40 then selling them when they got to $2000+.

Ive had a similar theory for a while now. I think humans are too unpredictable to do the same exact thing, there is bound to be variation, especially the longer the timeline goes.

But at the same time there is no way to prove anything. Even if someone invents time travel we probably wouldnt be able to change someone and have knowledge of the old timeline.

I agree about the dice, but the only thing that would change are things you came into contact with, directly or indirectly. Your hand would move just a little bit differently rolling the dice so it would change. But a thousand miles away a lottery ball would be the same unless at some point before you happened to interact with someone that had something to so with picking the ball.

And I would definitely take the time travel. Buy a million bitcoin when it first comes out and become super rich. Also probably buy lots of other things I now will be worth a lot later that I like just to have them, like magic cards.

It would be weird having to go through puberty again. Would we have the same knowledge, but still have the same brain development as a child? It would be really weird remembering growing older with the people at your school but then if you are really a little kid again you might really feel like you want to do things like a little kid.

Like you might remember that you started to like broccoli but it might not taste as good since your taste didn't develop yet.

Also dating would be super problematic.

The problem is that over time small changes magnify into massive deviations.

We can't predict things like the weather more than a couple of weeks or so ahead of time because the factors that decide the weather two weeks from now are so tiny they cannot be observed. Yet their effects expand rapidly.

And some important things like births are decided purely by the luck of the draw of which sperm (of millions) hits the egg. Change basically anything in an individual's past and they will almost certainly have a different child later than they did in the original timeline.

Not to mention chance meetings and the like.

If I go back to a certain day I can expect tomorrow to to be largely the same, but expecting 10 years from then to be the same would be extremely risky.

Yeah I agree, but that is only if you had a decent sized impact on things. For the most part I didn't talk to anyone really at all. All the people who were involved in bitcoin were already born by the time I was 10, so I couldn't change that. I really didn't effect much of anything. But I agree on that, if someone went back in time and like, killed Hitler. That would make literally everything completely different. No you, no your parents, there wouldn't be alternate versions of people you knew, it would just be a completely different world full of different people who might come up with some ideas vaguely like ours. Our video games would be completely different. Different movies, different Presidents.

But if I just went to school like normal and talked to my small handful of friends like normal and stayed inside playing video games like normal, I wouldn't be changing the big things, only small personal things like inside jokes and the like. Maybe different friends. I would probably get into comic books and Magic sooner just for something to do.

Plus the only good things id do differently with my life still wouldnt equate to me getting 10 million dollars.
