Who remembers Shining Force freaking 2?

That was my first RPG in a world of Sonic the Hedgehog, Vectorman, and Disney movie video games (The Lion King and Aladdin still some of the best movie adaptations in to games, aside from level 2 of Lion King). The tropey evil demon king awakening plot line was brand new to me at 7 years old, and the music and battles left heavy impressions on the formation of my gaming preferences for the rest of my life (I'm 30 now.) I've beaten it at least 5 times, which if you're not familiar with SF2, lasts 15-20 hours easily, especially if it's your first time playing. Ever since then I've also immensely enjoyed other SRPG games: Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea 1,4,5, Banner Saga 2. Does anyone else have a profound, nostalgic memory of this game?

I didn't own a genesis, but my friend had one. That game introduced me to strategy rpgs, so I do have some nostalgia for it.

Its not as good as later srpgs though.

I just beat Shining Force II for the first time a couple months ago. I did not like it.

I loved the original and CD, but never really played that one.

I played Shining Force 3 on Sega Saturn, but real talk even though we had both add ons for it we never actually got any games for them or used them oops. And dad only got us like Sonic for it?

So never really got to enjoy anything with that system.

the only sega system I had was a dreamcast, but I had shining force 1 on a compilation disc and loved it
