I'd rather be a part of a change that may in the end result in people in need getting help sooner than later, and I'm willing to give up the idea of indulging in an amount of money I'd never need as an individual to be a part of that change. Even if you voted for Trump and got the billion, lets just say you only kept 20 million for yourself.

That's 980 million that you could use (and keep growing interest on so that it can go on indefinitely by the way) to immediately impact people, right now, in a manner that you so choose and have control over. If helping people is my ultimate goal, I'd much rather do that than to vote for some other guy and hope that he maybe might be able to pass some legislation that could potentially help people down the road.
