This game has 0 final fantasy characters or star wars or marvel in it. A fucking decade waited for a disaster lol.
The game didn't do anything.

Removing the final fantasy characters is one of the few things I'm glad KH3 did. I don't think Final fantasy characters should ever have been included.

The Disney+FF collab was a huge selling point for me tbh

Yup.

No FF characters, a jumbled up mess of a story, lame post game content. They honestly need to reboot the series or just end it.

I like seeing FF characters in KH, but I wish they didn't make some of them younger than they are in their games.

Yeah that was cool but I remember hearing that the final fantasy characters were a later addition and they were not actually suppose to be in the series to begin with.

Why?
It worked and was fun.

No one would've gave a fuck about Kingdom Hearts if it wasn't a FF crossover.

Lol. As many people are playing for Disney as for Final Fantasy. Maybe more so. For me the draw was always a Disney universe RPG. The final fantasy characters were just icing on the cake.

I really dislike JRPGs and I dont like Disney so it is really not for me, but I have seen a lot of gameplay because friends of mine played it when it released and it is so fucking cringe. I just dont get it. They are die hard fans and they said it was like FFXV (another franchise I dislike). Fun for a few hours then you realize how little polish is actually on it

Ugh, that one still stings. I was fine up until that point with FF characters being contextually warped into the KHverse yo greater or lesser degrees. But it was like Nomura didn't know any FF games existed before 7, and just googled a pic and a catchphrase for this 'Setzer' guy and went with it. The 'my life is a chip in your pile' line has nothing to do with what KH Setzer is doing whenever he says it.

Auron made up for it, though.

They're exactly right.

Both kh3 and ffxv gained hype due to the long wait time for their releases, and cool looking trailers/graphics. But then upon release, you realize that the graphics are really the only thing worth while about the games.

Ffxv didn't even have most of the stuff from its trailers.

Both games have shit storytelling and gameplay that ranges from mediocre (ffxv) to alright but unbalanced (kh3), and the longer you play the more you realize how little there is to them. The more you play, the worse they get.

After it was decided Final Fantasy VI would feature an ensemble cast with no clear main protagonist, everyone in the development team was encouraged to provide ideas for characters and their episodes. Setzer's character and story were colored by influence from Tetsuya Nomura.[4]

According to the "Chocobo's FF Laboratory" feature published in V Jump in 1993, the character of Faris Scherwiz from Final Fantasy V was originally a female gambler named Eva Scherwil. The developers encountered difficulties in making her fit in the game's world and atmosphere, and changed her into a pirate. In a later issue of V Jump, the developers noted Setzer evolved from an abandoned concept for Final Fantasy V.[5] Nomura had had jobs in mind for Final Fantasy V, such as a ninja with a dog, and a gambler who fought with dice and cards, among others. These ideas were not used for Final Fantasy V, but when work started on Final Fantasy VI, they were used for Shadow and Setzer.

It actually reflects that much more poorly on Nomura that he completely missed the mark on a character that he himself created years earlier.

As someone who never played FF, Setzer just seemed like a giant neckbeard <_<

He's a grown-ass man who's obsessed with winning a nerf bat competition in which he is the only contestant that is not a child.
