Current Events > Getting my appendix removed today anyone else have this procedure done?

Had the worst pain I've ever felt in my abdomen all day and had to go to the hospital and apparently it's my appendix so I gotta get it removed.

Has anyone here had this done how bad is it?

The surgery and after-care isn't too bad but God help you if you have to strain when you poop

Similar procedure for my gallbladder. Like an hour after surgery I insisted to the nurses to let me drink some water and let me eat something, which they took as a possitive sign. Was out of the hospital in 2 days.

Honestly the worst part was my throat. I have no idea what they did with the tube that helps you breathe when you're under, but they messed up my throat real bad. That took a couple of weeks to heal.

Shit they'll put me under as well and I've never been put under before I hope this doesn't happen to me

I did, I started puking a lot and turn out to be my appendix. Was stuck in the hospital for a week straight

Well it's over just got back to my hospital bed my whole stomach is sore.

They gave me a gas mask and I just knocked out. This was my first surgery what a experience.

How did you react when you first woke up? When they woke me up,they had to hold me down because I started flailing my arms and legs.

Mine ruptured when I was 18. It was painful and all I wanted to do for a couple weeks was sit or sleep.

I was delusional I didn't know it was already done just a sharp pain in my gut

I remember the days leading up to the rupture I was in constant pain and barely moved from the couch unless it was to bed or the bathroom.
