i just watched part 1 of season 3.

ironically the show is alot better when they aren't just fighting titans. but there is something else, like the direction and the pacing feels better too. season 1 and 2 wasn't bad. i like them, but they don't really live to the massive hype it had several years ago.

like season 3 is just chock full of character development. they even developed eren and mikasa (at least explain mikasa's unnatural powers) somewhat because i always found them the most boring, where i found the other recruits and some other scout members more interesting, especially the titan spies. sadly armin, my favorite out of the trio don't really do anything in this season.

Yeah, season 3 is fantastic. And the second half of season 3 is just as great, imo.

I was kinda "meh" about the series after the four-year wait for season 2, and then how short/underwhelming season 2 actually was after said wait. But season 3 revitalized my enjoyment of the series. I def can't wait for season 4 now.

so i guess the 4 years wait kinda what triggered the backlash of season 2. i myself like season 2, that it keeps the overall same quality but because i waited this long to watch it (thankfully).

but yeah, excited to move on to season 3 latter half, and after that i will probably read the manga cos i probably don't have the willpwoer to wait

I hate that thing about Mikasa.

I disliked Mikasa slaughtering Titans from the very onset while most characters barely kill a single one on-screen but I dislike the super bloodline explanation more than mundane talent and killer instinct even more.

The part I loved most was that characters acted and did things right when you were like oh fuck they should probably do X...and them bam they immediately do it.

Like the scene where armin spots reiner inside the wall. You're immediately like oh shit armin do som.....BAM levi impales him through the neck. No need to draw out the process needlessly like too mamy animes do.
