It wouldn't be if that is true. Idk how it is prepared. I think the BK veggie is microwaved, but it is only vegetarian.

How is the Impossible Whopper vegan if it's microwaved in the same microwave as the Veggie (MorningStar brand) patty??

depends on the vegan. some don't consider cross contamination as a violation of veganism. the really hardcore ones due. like if the packaging says "produced in a facility that also uses milk, egg, etc." chances are it never made contact with those things. and even if it did, your intent was to buy the vegan item and not the items that were possibly mixed in with it.

Idk, man. Seems like a stretch, but ok, maybe there are a few. Anyway, I really like the Impossible Burger, but I haven't tried the Impossible Whopper yet. I'm not vegan or vegetarian.

How the fuck did we go from "Our burgers are 100% beef, no fullers and such"
to "Try the new 0% beef burger made from plants and who knows what else"

Worst is theres people on twitter DEMANDING normal people to try this.
Why would anyone that is fine eating beef ever try this?
Its also $1 MORE than the regular whopper so its not even a cheap alternative! Its just silly.

1. There are plenty of normal vegetarians/vegans and people who like vegan burgers.
2. It's delicious (at least other veg burgers are). You eat food other than meat all the time.
3. Cheap is relative.

That or it could also be for people who don't adopt the diet for reasons regarding the ethical treatment of animals, but instead for their health as red meat isn't doing your colon any favors. I mean, burgers still aren't healthy regardless, but for some people since it's technically healthier then that's good enough for them.

At BK you can ask for it to be prepared in a way where it's not touched by anything that cooks meat.

You'd know this if you read your Burger King brand Burger King pamphlet they stick in your food sack.

I find it kind of funny to see these sorts of options at fast food places.

I don't know, I just feel like Burger King (and other places like it) are going to be pretty far down the list of places a vegan would actually consider eating.

A lot of the processed in a facility with... is for food allergens as well. Some people cant eat things that are processed on the same line or facility as something theyre allergic too.

As you said, its a rarer case too, but a thing.

Calm down. You always get argumentative when vegan/vegetarian topics pop up. My point was that a fast food restaurant that sells mostly meat, or things prepared beside meat, seems like an odd place for a vegan to eat. Even if the food is prepared separately it's still in a place that exists to sell meat. You're always telling meat eaters it's cruel and hypocritical if they claim they love animals. Now you're arguing this just to argue. That's pretty funny.

What many other vegans have told me is that you are then creating the demand for vegan food, so they will dedicate more time/money to that over other food. Thereby lessening the volume of meat food.

I think the more vegan options out there, the better for both vegans and animals, regardless of what restaurant is offering them.

mock meats are not marketed towards vegans tbh. they're made for people that want to eat less meat for health or environmental reasons. vegans are often glad to have em cause more different types of food are always a good thing
