Come on man. If I get a movie that's like 4 years old that was supposed to have a digital code but it just expired like a year ago, that's some BS

Most of the movies that this applies to are still available to buy through the same platform

It shouldn't except for old UV Universal titles and yeah, Funimation UV, which Shin Godzilla is, and other trashy minor studios.

I know UV closed this year, but on the Funimation FAQ it mentions that UV codes can still be redeemed after UV is closed. I think this is a case of the actual code expiring.

That said, Ive had codes from other digital services and movie studios, larger release movies like Godzilla 2014 and some other ones that also expired before I was able to redeem them (because I bought the movies a few years after original release).

I wasn't referring to UV's shutdown. I was saying that no studios except Funimation and cheaper minor studios actual expire their codes. So the date on there is usually final. With Universal, a month or two back, they removed UV and also expired their codes, except people found out you could still redeem on iTunes and then port through MA.

Some codes have expired, but the major studios have always reupped it after a bit. Some might not redeem where it was supposed to, but should still redeem at MA. There's a huge community that keeps track of this stuff down to every little studio and each different version of movies.

I see, my mistake. I dont think thats correct that major studios dont expire their codes, but I dont have any proof in hand to dispute it. If youre saying sometimes they reactivate the codes, or that they can sometimes still be active through MA, Ill have to check on that. I may still have some codes sitting in my Blu Ray sleeves that I know were expired by the time I tried to use them or by the time I bought them, so I can test them. Otherwise, link to said community ? Unless its against the rules of course
