Kevon Watkins, then 16, wanted to block anyone else from logging on at his familys Macon home so that it wouldnt slow down the service while he played video games. When his mother protested and it appeared he might hit her, Kevons 20-year-old sister, Alexus, stepped in and Kevon grabbed Alexus by the throat and put her in a chokehold that lasted an estimated 15 minutes, according to the prosecutor. Only after his panicked mom called 911 and arriving officers ordered him to let go did Kevon do so, causing Alexus to drop to the floor. Get up off the floor, Latoya Watkins told her daughter. And then when he finally let go, just expected her daughter to wake up and get up? Unless I'm reading the story wrong, it looks like the mother called the cops only after a couple of minutes in a panic. The kid didn't let go of the choke hold until the officers told him to do so, so if it took them 10 minutes to arrive on the scene that means the mom would have called within the first 5 minutes. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
