It often reminds me of how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things and are essentially lesser beings than bugs in the universe. Life is pointless.

I wouldn't say I feel depressed but I do feel like an asshole givin scooping them up and putting them outside seems like an easy alternative to just killing them. Lately a stinkbug has been making its way into my house once a day and I murk those tho. They're too mobile.

I hear ya. The other day I was eating lunch outside with my wife and we were getting terrorized by a bee so I swatted the shit out of it with a towel. Then I thought of how important they are to our environment and felt like I fucked humanity. But then I was ok because I was like, life is pointless anyways. And then I thought too much so I drank a few beers and played some vidyas

i usually try to take the bug alive and put it outside instead of killing it.

unless its an earwig because fuck earwigs. but im starting to rethink that

That Bee was the Bee worlds Neo :/. Nothing feels cooler than when you snap a tower and nail a bug tho. That's usually my go to, then I fail 5 times and just swat it with all the coupons I get in the mail.

In all honesty I kind of feel bad too.

In my apartment, Ill get cave crickets every once in a while (recently I had like five in three days) and theyre creepy as fuck, but also essentially harmless.

Honestly if I could get them out without killing them, I would, but those fuckers are fast and can jump lol.

I only feel bad really if it was like completely defensless. As in trapped completely (in the sink and for the life of it cant crawl up the sinkwall) or flipped on its back. Ive been known to actually flip them back over if i know they are harmless enough. I have cats though so im only buying it time unless it decides to leave and not come back.

A few hours ago I just sprayed an earwig with roach spray, smacked it with a broom and dumped it while it was still wriggling in the trash. Kinda felt bad for a bit. Usually I don't even bother trying to execute them.
