but my dang neighbors tree is in the way now that we are in August and the sun's location in the sky is changing in the evening so im losing precious sunlight...its my first year planting in this spot so i didnt know this would happen

any way to get more sunlight on my plant without having to do anything to that tree?

You can use waterproof artificial lighting. I do a lot of growing inside and outside, and I have an aquaponic system for tomatoes and herbs, a red light heavy LED setup might help you out.

I have like 8 of these and I swear by them, i've had better results with these over natural sunlight. I bet you could set it up to run outside for 5-6 hours, and find a way to waterproof it.
