Can't believe I've come this far in almost 16 months. Just over 12 months since I started at the gym and 170 pounds since 7/25/2018, which was my first crossfit workout.

Man... I'm getting there. According to that DXA scan I had done last saturday, I may only have about 30 - 35 more pounds to lose to be at an ideal weight before I switch my primary focus from weight loss to muscle gain.

4/1/2018 - Heaviest point in my life: 445
7/25/2018 - Start at crossfit gym: 420
7/31/2019 - 250

I'm proud of myself, y'all. I spent years of my life being above 400 pounds and not understanding what I was doing wrong to cause myself to keep gaining weight. At one point, I had just accepted that I'd be over 400 pounds for the rest of my life. It's amazing how many little things in life slowly erode away as you get heavier and heavier. If I had kept going on the path I was going, I'd probably be auditioning for My 600 Pound Life right about now.

I think it was somewhere around 2013 or 2014 that I went to Six Flags in Dallas on a whim (huge mistake for a number of reasons) after working an overnight shift... I think I was just north of 380 back then. I couldn't fit on half the roller coasters I tried to ride. I had so many embarrassing moments like that. I've been traveling by plane for work/leisure in the past 6 years or so and I had to keep asking for the seatbelt extender to get the seatbelt fastened. Also, I couldn't use the fold-out food tray properly. It would sit at an angle because my thighs were too large.

I'm almost at the finish line of my weight loss journey. I'm also currently stronger than I've ever been in my life.

Feels great, man!

Well done that's a serious piece of hard work and dedication, too many people would have given up at the first bump in the road.

Can you expand on this? What was it you were doing wrong this whole time? Seems like more than just eating extremely unhealthy cause that would seem to be obvious.

Yeah, it definitely wasn't something I was 100% ready for, but I figured I'd try it and see how it went. I lost 30 pounds in the 1st 6 weeks of doing crossfit.
