Hippos are one of the most deadly animals on earth, killing about 500 people every year. They weigh up to 2,750 kg (6000 lbs), have very large, sharp teeth, are extremely aggressive, and despite their bulk, they can run up to 30 km/h (19 mph) on land.

yeah k, sounds like they're close to being evenly matched, rhino with some clear disadvantages and hippo with some clear advantages.

Hippo. No doubt.

Rhinos have really bad eyesight and live mostly peaceful lives. Hippos lives pretty brutal lived and fight to maintain their breeding rights on a regular basis. Those teeth make for gnarly slashing weapons. Have you seen how wide they can open their mouth?

Rhino fights usually consist of a lot of posturing and pushing. Hippo fights are usually far more vicious and bloody

19 mph is slow as fuck in nature. Hell there are people who can out run hippos. And it's not like the super skin is helping you, you're on top. Honestly, having been in a combat convey I would rather fucking walk.

You're controlling the rhino, though. They aren't just going by their nature.

19 mph is just fine when it's pushing 6000-8000 pounds your way.

That doesn't make up for their inability to truly fight due to being almost blind. That doesn't make them more aggressive in the fight. That doesn't give them better weapons than the hippo. You're just controlling which direction they move in. You'll get one good charge out of them. The hippo would give that same good charge then be a vicious beast in the middle of the battle. I'll take savage and naturally hostile over nearly blind and mostly docile.
