I've always been opposed to flypaper because it's a prolonged death for the fly, but I'm assuming that a vacuum cleaner would kill a fly relatively quickly once pulled in whether it's being crushed by the force or quickly suffocated

A vacuum is unwieldy. Unless you spec all your talent points into two handed mastery. Which is a bad idea, especially if it's in the pursuit of a low level mob that doesn't give xp or gold drops.

I prefer the hand-held battery-powered bug zapper. It looks like a tennis racquet, you press a button to charge the grid, then swing it at your quarry. ZAAAAAP!

Moths are really spectacular when hit with the zapper. They start sizzling, they begin to heat up and then body parts start exploding.

Probably not. Tiny insects appear to pretty much operate on pure reflex. That's why wasps for instance can become stuck in infinite loops due to stimuli around them. It's basically physics in action. Just a bunch of chemical reactions

Nothing is either cruel or unusual enough for bugs.
Except for endangered bugs like bees. They must be saved.

I need one of those zapper thingys though. Exploding moths sounds fucking awesome.
