It's probably best if you just give up and play something easier.

Get a fishing rod if you don't have one. Getting fish is one of, if not the best way to get money. Although I was always particial to selling foreign fruit, but that takes a while to set up, unless you have another town to sell in.

No, no, no, that'd still be too much.

If it's New Leaf, go to the island, cut down all the trees and bushes EXCEPT the palm trees on the beach, dig up any stumps, and rip up all the flowers. Leave it bare except the palm trees.

Start walking slowly around the island with a bug net, and you'll start seeing beetles on the trees. Many of the types of beetles that appear on the palm trees are rare and expensive. You'll have to move slowly and you only get one chance to catch each bug. Whether you hit or miss, keep working your way around the shoreline and more bugs will appear. If any bugs appear in the center area, chase them off, they're usually not worth much unless you're trying to fill out the museum collection.

Once you get the hang of it you'll clear several hundred thousand bells in a single trip.
