The three are Yasuhiro Takemoto, Sachie Tsuda, and Naomi Ishida. All three of them were involved with the one anime that made an emotional turn-around for me back in the mid-00s. While they aren't directly related to me in any way at all, this is gutwrenching.

It feels fucking bizarre, especially for Takemoto. He worked on so many things I enjoyed. Amagi Brilliant Park, Lucky Star, Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, even some work on Nichijou.

Every time I think about the kyoani attack I just feel utterly miserable

Yup, & the scary part is that he accomplished it with 10 gallons of gas in small gas cannisters, a bucket, a hand cart to tow them, and a convenience store lighter. Along with some planning & scouting of the target building.
