I like the designs of the models and thinking about getting into them. Can you tell me about the different factions? YouTubers are often bias and my Gamesworkshop, although the owner is nice and knowledgeable, he has a bad history of up talking what ever army doesn't sell well at his store.

I dont play but I've been collecting and painting the models for a few months.

Faction support is varied, but right now we have:

order
Stormcast Eternals: elite space marine army, can do pretty much everything but has a low model count
Fyreslayers: elite dwarf warrior priests and dragons, limited options but very powerful
Kharadron Overlords: dwarfs on boats. Shooting army, extremely weak right now
Idoneth Deepkin: sea elves, a number of options but right now spamming eel riders is considered their best strategy
Daughters of Khaine: sexy snake elves, melee focused
Sylvaneth: tree people, recently updated
Seraphon: LIZARDS riding DINOSAURS. In need of an update
Cities of Sigmar: Old human, elf and dwarf models. Book is releasing in the next couple months.

chaos
Blades of Khorne: devils and barbarians. Melee and anti magic and summoning.
Maggotkin of Nurgle: Gross people, hard to kill.
Disciples of Tzeentch: mutants, lots of magic and shooting and summoning.
Hedonites of Slaanesh: Fast moving with overpowered summoning
Skaventide: Rats, lots of options for how to play them. Hordes, elites, shooting or melee
Beasts of Chaos: Goatmen, not considered very good right now. Melee and summoning.
Slaves to Darkness: Barbarians. Need an update.

Legions of Nagash: Dead things, can revive their own units
Nighthaunt: Ghosts. Considered underpowered right now
Flesh Eater Courts: ghouls. Limited options, very powerful

Orruks: being consolidated in a new book in the next month or two
Gloomspite Gitz: goblins. Enormous new model range.
Ogors: probably being consolidated in a book in the next few months.

I think their lore is awesome, but all their models are old fantasy ghouls so it's not really reflected.

The one new character model they got earlier this year looks dope but you're probably not gonna see more like that for 5+ years
