AND ive always felt like id have a chance with the mega hot girl if she became single... except now Im second guessing myself and dont know how to proceed.

The history is also a little crazy. Mega hot girl and I grew up one block away from each other. I was friends with her brother in elementary school and he and I would hang out sometimes. Back then I couldnt tell how hot she would become when she grew up.

Later, when I was about 20-22, she would hang out with a group of friends that I would hang out with sometimes. I wasnt interested in her at the time because I was chasing a different girl (and I was stupid). She always seemed interested in me, though. She would giggle at things I said that werent funny and always made me feel like a much cooler guy than I actually am.

A dude from that group of friends ended up being her boyfriend. It was only after that happened that I was like damn. That had me written all over it and I passed it up like a dumbass.

Fast forward a few years. She, her boyfriend and I all end up moving away to the same town and attending the same University. She was an art major, and so was my roommate at the time (best friend who I mentioned in the topic title) and so was the girl who would end up being his girlfriend. Therefore I partied and hung out with mega hot girl several times, and during those times she always seemed just as pleased and enthusiastic to see me as she had when we hung out with the old group of friends in our hometown. But she had her boyfriend and I was kind of cool with him so I didnt bother.

Fast forward even more. Weve all been graduated from Uni for several years. Then one day Im browsing Facebook and see that mega hot girl is single. THE VERY NEXT DAY Im hanging out with my best friend and his girlfriend (I hang out with them every weekend) and it turns out his girlfriend is now co-workers with mega hot girl!

But now I just have no clue how to proceed. Im worried about several things that Im probably over thinking, but seem valid to me. The fact that its been a while and my friends girlfriend hasnt thought to hook us up on her own might suggest she doesnt think Im good enough for her? So then if I ask her to hook me up, she might make that I know its a no, but Im asking to be nice for my friend face while shes making the suggestion. Women tend to have that group-thinking mentality, so that could change her mind even if she would have been interested otherwise. I thought about messaging her myself on Facebook to see if shed be interested in the four of us hanging out... but what if her standards have changed? A lot of times when mega hot girls get out of long relationships, they suddenly realize theyre too good for any guy in the current town that they live in and only fall for some exotic rich guy.
