It's crazy how people can psychologically block out the things they're doing until it gets THAT extreme. My jaw literally dropped.

Was this the same one that still had like two dozen living cats that they had to catch, and most including her favorite had to be put down due to medical problems?

Man, it seems like these people are euthanizing these cats over everything.

"This one has a sore it's in mouth so the best thing is to euthanize it" "This one is in pain we can't fix so we have to euthanize it" "This one broke it's nail so we have to euthanize it"

Im a big skeptic on the reasons pets get euthanized. I feel like the problems I have as a person, they would euthanize me if I was a pet. You know how many errors human doctors make? And they can actually talk to the thing they're taking care of. Fuck anyone trying to kill my dog if I feel like he seems ok with living. If it geta bad enough Id understand but if he seems to have some quality of life left then fuck taking someone elses word just cause they learned the recent theories on animals.

Yup, just commented on that. It was the one with mouth sores. Seems like she could of worked around it if she really wanted to. The cat probably wouldn't of been happy with a liquid diet being squirted in its mouth or whatever she would have to do, but it seems like it would at least be worth giving it a shot. We as humans have to adapt to a lower quality of life all the time. But that doesn't mean we want to die.

I think that cat had other issues besides the mouth sores.

I recall an episode where a woman had two or three trailers full of various farm animals. Another where among the old woman's hoard she tried to justify keeping a large dead flattened rat.

My current favorite is the two hour episode with the woman who lost ownership of her hoarded mansion and had 3 days to relocate as much as she could while throwing stuff out. By the end of the episode she only had a small pick-up truck's worth and a little towed behind it.

They said the other cats had a virus that could spread and would constantly give them pain and discomfort that they couldn't relieve. So yeah, I guess I get that. Shit, anyone who ever had a severe toothache probably feels like they'd rather be dead than feel that pain for life. I know I do when it happens.

The "sores" are a really bad mouth disease. It'd cost someone a lot to do testing, treatment etc. Ultimately the cat would develop deeper problems.

You definitely don't mess with viruses either. The cats weren't vaccinated probably. If they were, they wouldn't have those viruses.

Usually only feral cats get feline aids, panlukeokemia and a couple other nasty viruses. It only takes a couple sick ones to spread it to young and older cats.
