I always wondered how many people looked into their major, read books and things on it, and studied it significantly before taking classes. This would help greatly and if I had it all over again, I would do this. I'd imagine that it's a small minority. Imagine if you were a chemistry nerd your entire childhood and that's all you did. You just did science stuff all day. College would be a breeze.
