I was offered half a million dollars to open up a brewery in Idaho, in a town of maybe 30k people. That's not a huge amount of money in terms of starting up a new brewery, but I could do it.

You need more positive thinking. You should ask how great Idaho is instead of how shit it is.
Its probably shit though. Never started up a brewery and never will but youd probably do well.
