I use a lot of tone changes when talking cause it comes naturally and really sells what you're saying. Not to mention it probably keeps people more tuned in than a monotone lecture voice. It's just more entertaining to hear someone talk when their voice reflects their feeling. Not to mention it can really add comedic value at times

I try to when I'm around people. I'm naturally very deep voiced and I sound monotone so I have to turn on the charisma sometimes.

I also got a deep voice. And I actually do end up monotone when Im not in a social mood. To the point people answer my jokes/minor trolling with serious responses cause they don't process it as a joke.

Does being monotone preclude one from being charismatic and or funny? Because I have not found that to be the case

Never implied that. Just implied that it adds to it. Like @berlyman101 put it, it can add charisma.

It's good for sitting around with friends and at work but in a loud situation like a bar it isn't the best.

My sense of humor is dry so the mono tone works

You can increase your volume without changing your voice tho >_>

Can you tho? It might be more subtle but it probably changes.

That indeed works.
