A few years ago a guy on this board explained how Bernie won the Oklahoma primary in 2016. When I first heard that I thought, "Wow, that's unexpected." You would think that Hillary would have taken it because southern states are so much more conservative. He started explaining and it almost came off racist, but it was just truthful insight. He said Bernie won because there's a huge white majority in Oklahoma.

His reasoning was that white people are more educated, and thus more likely to vote for progressive candidates. If you're a minority, then, there's a greater chance you will be less educated, and be more likely to vote for a centrist despite our political emergency.

So, what I think is poetic is that, Kamala Harris and Biden will probably split the minority vote. And that's poetic in the sense that, democrats would have used the momentum of republicans against them. It's like some martial arts shit. Republicans are responsible for holding down minorities and generally keeping people disempowered and in a state where they could actually think Hillary was a good candidate in 2016. The dems would then be effectively minimizing the power of the minority vote (that of which has a heavier uneducated base) and giving more say to the educated people then. So now Yang, Warren, and Sanders have a better shot.

Now, this might sound kinda fucked up, but it's poetically fucked up. And awesome in a way. Couldn't give two shits about the centrist revenge candidate. And by that I mean it seems like she's the go to candidate for offended minorities who want to get back at Trump simply by voting for the person who's a black woman and more opposite of him. There's no reason to vote for her. She doesn't have anything helpful to add that isn't already being added by other people.

Yeah, the minority groups in the Democratic Party tend to be more moderate or in some cases conservative. The Republicans original electoral strategy in the 00s was to peel off hispanic voters as they are "natural conservatives", but the GOP becoming a white grievance party derailed those plans

The new progressive base of the party is disproportionately white, though. So that should make for an interesting dynamic.

I don't know if it'll affect the general, however.

Your entire theory falls apart when you realize that Sanders voters are both white and tend to be low-information. He's basically Trump of the left.

The Republicans are not responsible for the DNC's incompetence or for minorities sitting home in record numbers in 2016.

I mean red states have led a coordinated effort to suppress minority turnout in states they control

The DNC in 2016 was quite dumb though

Oh cooooooooool. That's just some site. I'll read it maybe...um. I already know it's bullshit though if we're comparing Trump to Bernie voter level of information. Trump had the undereducated majority in the 2016 general election. Trump is ridiculous, denies science, etc. If by information, we're talking about FACTUAL information, then there's no contest here.

So does Sanders, and many of the fake news stories like pizzagate and Seth Rich were passed around by both Sander supporters and Trump supporters/

You're not wrong

Before Clinton won the nomination I saw the more extreme Sanders supporters pushing stuff from Breitbart
