I finished it a few hours ago as well. Fucking loved it, and I'd say it's my favorite of the three seasons so far. S1 and S2 are pretty much tied for me. I loved SO many characters, holy hell.

And muh Billy!

I think this was the best season. I think the Robin twist was stupid, Steve deserves to be happy. It just felt like it was there to subvert expectations. I wouldn't normally care about something like this, but they had such great chemistry together and I know damn well they'll never find someone who clicks with him the way she did. >_>

It was a good twist. I feel like its helping him grow up. Not everything is about girls and being cool. He was able to be friends with someone outside of his normal comfort zone

Adored this season. Absolutely adored it.

Robin. Easily my favourite of the new characters. Great dynamic with Steve and Dustin. Her being gay could have been revealed better or done better than the way it was done, it seemed like it was done in a way to specifically shit on Steve. But smart to get the audience on her side before that was divulged.
Also can I just say it's odd how Robin can go from looking nothing like either of her mum to suddenly a spitting image of Uma Thurman.

Dad Hopper was bloody hilarious and the rest of Hopper was also hilarious. Him and Joyce are usually the serious ones but they really brought the funny. Especially when combined with Murray brand of bluntness.

Max and Eleven's friendship was great to watch. I liked how much stronger Joyce became this time around. Will's wanting to hold onto the past was all too familiar.

The last episode though. Well specifically the last 40 minutes or so? The song sequence really took me out of it. Billy, not as much as they could have done to humanise him considering how much of a douche he was last season but still an OK payoff. And are they really pulling the same stunt with Hopper like they did with Eleven back in the first season?

Aside from some nitpicks Stranger Things 3 was awesome.

The biggest reason I think he's alive isn't the lack of body or the final scene, but that they made a big deal out of needing three people to do the job, and then having Joyce do it by herself. They made it apparent that one person would die doing it on their own, but then they didn't have Hopper sacrifice himself doing it alone. I don't know, maybe I need to re-watch that scene, but it just seems weird that they put emphasis on needing a third person to avoid death.

Haha I'm the opposite of Jai. :x My biggest (and pretty much only) gripes of the season were Max and Hopper.

I liked mostly everything but I did think the Robin reveal was kind of stupid. Poor Steve.

But I really fucking hated the nerf the protagonist trope to keep things interesting. I find it the exact fucking opposite and I hate that shit. Its one of the main things I like about the show.

I think the Robin twist was necessary for the characters arc. It would have been to cliched for them to get together at the end of season 3. Give it time, they'll get together in season 4!

Also, I would very much want Suzie to appear in Hawking in season 4 and help out once again.

Glad others liked it, but I couldn't get into it.
It lacked the sense of urgency of the first two seasons. The whole plot was just getting the characters from point A to point B, then it ended. I understood what the montages and product placements were about, but they either weren't done well enough or just too much.
The monster never really felt like a threat, seemed like he was better off as super strong humans with somewhat linked conciousness.

It was ok, but I hope they either go back to the older seasons or try something different. More of the same doesn't work if the quality isn't perfect and the audience expects everything.

Eh, I think the biggest reason is that they made a big deal out of showing the Soviets that rushed in get reduced to ash by the device exploding...coincidentally right after they have Hopper turn around and look at the gate. My guess is that he got sucked into the upside down and the American that the Russians have as their prisoner is Brenner. Would explain how the Russians knew about the upside down, Hawkins, and the gate.

My biggest complaint is it felt like everyone was in a love relationship going through tons of unnecessary drama. The kids, the parents, the brother, Steve. The only one needed was Eleven's one if only to make her more independent.

she's basically just there in this one too.

She gets Jonathan fired from his job by basically strongarming him into checking out a potential scoop and then treats it like it was his fault, he rightfully tells her off and she cries about her maybe not being the perfect person she thought she was, and then her mom enables her. After that she is a damsel in distress a few times and then season over
