The cold rain of Chaos patters endlessly under a sky the color of eternity.
If one were to look into the distance (that is, if one even existed to observe), he might imagine he sees shapes coalescing out of the formless darkness, but on closer inspection, it's just the dreams of an over-taxed mind. It must be.
Every so often motes materialize out of the void and vanish as abruptly.
No matter is yet present, but a wandering mind would nevertheless get the sensation that their hair is standing on end, perhaps that they're being watched.
It seems that this universe is yearning to be birthed, to be pulled screaming out of the apeiron into reality.

It just needs somebody to harness its potential.
