Because the simple fact is a majority of his votes came from people who vote R and don't care about anything else.

To say someone won the presidency due to his supporters being racists or sexists or anything else is not only wrong but clearly insulting to a lot of folks who just vote republican.

so...moderators are using discretion and determining that while the topics/posts themselves may not be against the rules, the intent the poster had in mind when creating them was to be offensive?

Should that discretion be applied to say...those who claim there's nothing wrong with not dating black people are social justice advocates are pushing a "victim narrative"?

Yes, I do believe in some cases depending on the user and if they have a history of trolling moderators will use their discretion, which is fairly reasonable

Sure, but those kind of topics are few and far in between whereas the Trump trolling topics are endless, it's not unreasonable moderators keep a closer eye out for Trump topics in particular than the other ones

You realize mods are people, right? Not some algorithm you can trick. When you make a topic asking why the "face of oppression" isn't a woman because "white women" vote like "white men" who (you imply by sentence structure) are oppressors... they can see what you're doing. Like... it's not subtle at all. And these "everyone the mods are out to get me" topics where you explicitly reframe what you said don't help.

so...what you're saying is the moderation staff are capable of using discretion to determine when a user is antagonistic towards a group of people and moderate accordingly...

if only that standard were applied across the board. Seeing as its not, given the multiple examples I've mentioned in this very topic (including a well known former mod who is allowed to label black social advocates as people pushing a victim narrative), it leads one to question why its not, although as DDS mentioned in an earlier post, some theories appear more plausible than others...
