Pheonix Wright is the best, except for Trails in the Sky, which isn't a visual novel in any way shape or form, and therefore shouldn't be on the list. Rika_Furude 07/02/19 5:43:23 AM #13:	Trails in the Sky has the best worldbuilding period, and some of the best story and character development in any game I've ever played. It's definitely worth a play through. But it's not a visual novel, just a long story-driven game trilogy (which is in turn one part of a larger story/world with the Trails of Cold Steel and Trails from Zero/Ao games). Steins;Gate has a better core story and is also amazing, but the character development and world building isn't close to that of Trails in the Sky. Phoenix Wright, Danganronpa, Zero Escape are all amazing as well. Danganronpas one step below the other 2 though. Chaos;Head had a great first half but the second half was utter garbage. Danganronpa is a wild ride with highs and lows, but with some zany characters and some astounding cases. Steins;Gate I've only seen the anime of, but it was a really fun ride. I'm watching SG0 atm, but it's sadly pretty awful thus far. Zero Escape is great for two entries, but then falls off a cliff with a super unsatisfactory resolution. Trails is an RPG series and doesn't really fit with the others. I've played the first Cold Steel at least, and it's pretty good. Never tried CC. --- Winner of the Third Hacked User Contest.
