How you build your character has zero impact on anything. Being a mage, stealth guy, warrior, having high speech doesn't matter.

The way you do quests and do dungeons is always the same no matter what skills you have acesss which barely made it feel like a RPG. Felt like some really generic adventure game with a high budget.

Was really hoping the character would shit in the bucket. Total let down.

Idk my pure mage character felt different.

But I get what you are saying. I griped more at fallout though. In new vegas you could use sex through the black widow perk to get around certain quests but they didnt really have the same for male characters gay or straight. Felt it should have been implemented more too at least as a way to get past a speech check youd otherwise need a high stat like intelligence or bribe the npc. But instead they just didnt do it at all in 4 iirc

Idk i feel in a world like fallout sex would be a hot commodity since literally everyone has weapons and is more prone to shooting you just for looking at them the wrong way.

Top problems with game:

1) Destruction sucks without mods
2) Your builds don't matter because you'll always end up as a stealth archer

Probably one of my favorite moments in the game story-wise was when you can declare yourself Archmage of Winterhold to Tsun, and he goes so far as to praise you for it on the grounds that modern Nords have forsaken magic and cleverness.

Guess I must be pretty starved for meaningful consequence in Skyrim when something so otherwise insignificant ended up being that memorable, heh.

Yeah destruction does suck past level 50 iirc. Honestly spellcrafting should have remained fron the previous games or at least make the damage output of destruction magic based on your level.

Unfortunately I have the game on thr 360 and dont see any reason to pay for the game again. Even if i did I now have a ps4 and modding on it from what ive seen in fallout 4 is pretty meh

Destruction falls off by level 20 unless you're at master spells by then. Even then, that riften mage you can higher for 500 gold is better than you because his aim is better than yours ever will be because of how AI aim works.

Only 3 builds I've ever had work out we're
Stealth (90% Archer, 10% Dagger)
Sword and Board
2H with that beam sword from the dragonborn dlc

I'm screwing around now with a "I levelled only conjuration and non combat skills, let my minions kill everything for me" run and it's hilarious how bad the AI is. :l

I had no problems killing things until level 50 thats why I said that. Then again I probably did drop the difficulty cause it was a build I had zero expirence with. After 50 though I just switched over to conjuring weapons. I went out of my way to master every school except enchanting and alchemy iirc. So also having two undead thralls at all times helped in combat I suppose.

Anything below adept and the numbers make everything viable, except in like 2 fights if you're level 120+.

I never got much beyond 50 tbh. By then ive usually completed all major questlines and I get bored and make a new character.
