Awful lot of people who are trying to deny the severity of the boy's actions by blaming the girls.

Something bad happens to a guy, clearly a woman is to blame.

Then again, a few of the people in this topic blaming the girls also blamed Ariana Grande for Mac Miller's death so.

All I'm asking for is fairness and said as much earlier;

"Either they're all in trouble, or they all get to be scot-free."

No you don't understand, he asked them for nudes so they were LITERALLY forced to send them via COERCION.

He initiated it by sending unsolicited nudes to them. And he requested them from the girls repeatedly.

Have you ever done either of those things, just send or request nudes out of the blue, Mr... Catgirl Fondler?

He sent nudes that they may still possess (I don't think the article makes that clear), and then they sent nudes back by their own volition. If the boy is going to be rung up on production/possession of child pornography, then the girls are equally guilty in that regards.

And no, I don't send or request nudes.

Now, I definitely agree with you that him getting made a sex offender is excessive. But it's not as though anything the girls did is creepy or harmful. What he did definitely is.

It's not like I was try to excuse his attitude (he's clearly a dumb horndog), just asking for consistency if they insist on doling out punishment, especially if the charges are going to try and emphasize production/possession.

They already contemplated charges against the girls, as evidenced by that bit in the article about there needing to be a sexual pleasure aspect, which neither girl actually demonstrated in the texts.

Underage male and underage female exchange nude photos: underage male is a child pornographer and has his life effectively ended.
Drunk male and drunk female have sex: drunk male is a rapist and has his life ruined.

Huh, weird how the justice system has these double standards.

It's weird how women fought so hard for independence and equality, to be seen as being as strong and as capable as a man, to prove that they too can be high level CEOs, politicians, whatever.. but they still want the concept of hypoagency in play. When it comes to marriage, the court of law, etc, they still want to be viewed as a helpless child that cannot possibly act on their own accord or make their own responsible choices.

If a man does something it's automatically malicious intent. If a woman does something, it's not because she wanted to, it's because a man made her do it. What the fuck man? Shouldn't that be vehemently against the feminist mantra? Instead it's used like a dirty weapon, like a poison tipped dagger or something.

I mean, obviously in this case the guy played the bigger role and admittedly was creepy about the whole thing. Don't necessarily think a horny teenager being all like "Come on, just one picture. Come onnnn.." over text warrants being put on the sex offender registry for twenty years. The girls involved always had the option of saying no (with real conviction, like putting their foot down), cutting contact with the dude when he wouldn't drop the subject, etc. Nobody was holding a gun to their head. But of course instead of all parties involved being stupid kids and making stupid kid mistakes, the male was an adult with malicious intent taking advantage of and manipulating innocent children (even though one of them was two years older than him!) Will men and women ever truly be considered equals?

Obey the law, no matter how stupid it is. Why? Because it is the law and if you don't have a shot load of money you won't be able to fight it.

You think women wanted equality? Lol They wanted privelege. Take the best from men's world but not the worst.

As a kid I gotta say this is fucking stupid. If theyre intent on upholding the law regardless of circumstance then the girls need to be charged as well. They also created child porn and distributed making them just as guilty.

That being said literally no one gives a fuck and the entire case and ruling is stupid.
