Many people value portability over the grander experience. I played BotW 98% handheld and it wasn't a real problem despite acknowledging that it could have looked much better with better hardware and that the docked version did look much better. Sony could have had a great experience without sacrificing as much with their Remote Play, but they shit the bed hard by keeping it Xperia exclusive. Even the fucking iPhones have the app, and Sony has actually taken steps to block usage on all other Androids.
