The only time I've had bad experiences with cops is when I've been doing bad things. But I've got friends and family who have had bad cop experiences. One of my friends came from a rough family, and there was a police officer who seemed to have it out for them - lots of traffic stops, aggressive behaviour, etc. When my friend was 12, this cop goes up to him and tells him that he'll put his entire family in jail by the time he's 21 years old. Kind of hard to get out of a hole when you've got a target on your back.

This one police officer had it out for my pop. My grandparents live out in the country, and he resides in the nearest big town where they go shopping. I'm talking on-sight pullovers, hiding out in the same location every Thursday - which is when my nan and pop do their shopping - stuff like that.

One time when my nan was taking my sister for an L plate drive, this cop starts tailgating them - he recognised the car. Just sat there riding their ass. So they're driving along with this police car right up the back of them, and an L plate flies off - sometimes they dislodge, and if it had flown off without my sister's knowledge then she probably would have taken the punishment. But it fell off while this police officer is bumper to bumper with her. Lights, siren, everything, gets them to pull over. Doesn't even give my sister a chance to go back and grab the L plate with an apology, he writes her a ticket on the spot like a curmudgeonly tight-ass.
