Most of them seemed to have closed immediately after his appearance and apparently some of the chefs on there have committed suicide shortly after their episode aired.

This. One of the best examples of this was that guy who ran the French restaurant who refused to accept that there was anything wrong with his ideas

This. Ramsay is fuckin brilliant for trying to fix people more than the restaurant. But some people just can't be fixed, even by a God.

I disagree completely, his show is just sensational garbage. A lifetime of wrong is not gonna be fixed by one day of an asshole yelling in ones face then broadcasting it to the world. This is why concepts like therapy and psychiatry exist. Granted those are for different things but the principle is the same. Full 180 degree changes simply do not happen overnight, and most human beings do not take bitchy asshole to be a good source for criticism.

Um, this show basically supports everything you're saying a lot of the time so I have no idea what you're arguing against. BUT some people have went through all of life without anyone around them ever stepping up and checking them. And to think 100% of people would react negatively to that is almost as stupid as thinking 100% of people would react positive to it. Either way it would be projecting. And if you think Ramsay just acts like a bitchy asshole to everyone all the time than you're just showing us your ignorance. When you actually watch the show you notice Ramsay tweeks his attitude based on the persons personality. He knows that you approach different people different ways to get the best results. Of course he's not gonna use the right attitude 100% of time, even if he is our savior Jesus Christ.

Im sure there are some who can take criticism regardless of source, but most simply do not respond well to this approach and yeah, hes unjustifiably disrespectful of people regularly on most of his shows. Regularly humiliating people in front of millions for not being up to his standard.

Im sure some have benefited from the publicity, but in general I believe its more for the spectacle than anything else.

He has a system. He tries to destroy the persons old bad habits with humiliation so that he can rebuild them with more positive things while they're vulnerable. Its insanely manipulative but his intentions are good

I have no idea why anyone would visit any of the restaurants he helps.

The owners were perfectly willing to let their kitchens grow filthy, serve rotten food, frozen food, microwaved food. Why should I give them my money on the off chance that they don't do what they were content to do anymore? There aint no cameras to expose them anymore. They can do what they want.
