I see more and more complaints brought up about how he hasn't been in a good movie in a long time, how he won't go masked in a superhero movie and how CGI characters have to look like him, and how he ruined both Aladdin and Suicide Squad 2 by making the leap from Warner to Disney -- something I can't fault him on for obvious reasons. $$$

Look, I know we'd have all rather had a CGI budget for serpent Jaffar and, yes, Deadshot was the best part of Suicide Squad. But, come on. It's Will Smith. That smile can light up the world. In fact, we needn't have peace talks ever again. Just invite Will Smith and have him flash that charming smile at whoever is threatening us. They'll calm down.

people who have seen the Aladdin remake say that it was surprisingly entertaining, and that Will Smith was the best part.

and iirc, no one really cared about Suicide Squad 2 until James Gunn was attached, and that was after Will Smith stepped down.

Outside of 'Will Smith hasn't been in a good movie for a long time' I haven't seen the internet say any of that stuff.

Hasn't been in a good movie in over a decade and is always shilling his untalented kids to get them music and acting careers that they wouldn't have if he wasn't Will Smith.

20 years is a bit much. Maybe more like 10 years?

But no I haven't seen 'fans' upset that Will Smith isn't in Suicide Squad 2. Harley Quinn was way more popular.
