I carried a pocket watch for a little bit because I liked the chain, that's about it.

This is my signature, there are many others like it, but this one is mine.

I can't recommend a good smart watch enough. And by "good" I mean something that has good battery life (minimum week between charges, some go up to a month), reasonable price (plenty available for under $100), and an always-on display so that it can actually be used as a fucking watch.

I've had a Pebble Time Steel for a few years now and it's done wonders to keep me off of my phone all the time while still being able to get emails and messages as soon as they come in. I can just glance at my wrist and move on with my life without feeling like I need to stay attached to the phone. It also keeps me from pulling out my phone in front of people, even if only to check the time.

Unfortunately, this one needs to be replaced (official support ended when FitBit bought out Pebble), but the Amazfit Bip seems to be the current preferred replacement. I can't see myself going back to not having one, though.

My mom bought me a watch case years ago. It can hold 6 watches. She bought it for me so they could buy me watches. I now own 7. For a while, I would switch them in and out a lot. Then, my job in the military and my current job both male wearing a watch kind of dangerous. Especially the military.

While I was in the military, one of my supervisors (who went kind of crazy), bought me a pocket watch for Christmas. It was a nice one. I think I still have it. I might have seen it recently. It was pretty neat, I guess. These days, I sometimes wear a watch. Most of the ones that were bought for me have dead batteries. I think one works with motion. As long as I wear it and am moving, it will stay alive. And only stop if it stops for too long. Though, I think too long is like 24 hours or something. As it still works when I wake up in the morning after sleeping... Maybe longer... Idk...

I've never been a fan of things on my wrists. The last time I had a watch on was probably when I had a Tamagotchi back at school 16+ years ago.
