He's not exactly the typical lowest-common-denominator YouTuber like Pewdiepie or any Fortnite/Minecraft player.

Hell, I remember when Chuggaaconroy was the biggest Let's Play channel way back when, and he's barely over 1 million nowadays.

James inspired a massive genre of YouTube videos. Honestly nobody like him even remotely stands up to the quality and entertainment value his channel has given me over the years.

I like his content too. Helped get me through some rough times, but most normal people never heard of him and he is only well known in the nerd/gamer community. He has a HUGE niche, but at the end of the day is still a niche. Like said before he's not someone like PewPewdie or a Battle Royale streamer who have 100m+ views on single videos that everybody and their grandma watch.
