How fucked am I? Didn't expect them to come clean the room in the 30 minutes we were at the beach.

I'm most likely fine. There are like 8 bars within 5 minutes walk that openly sell weed and mushroom shakes. If I was in Bangkok I'd already be chugging water and all the weed would be flushed. Here I'm not really worried.

I don't get why he's so casual about it. even if they have weed sellers in the country, I would not mess with that. it's not worth it. maybe the locals know how to avoid the cops or something. and also the locals might get treated more lightly. but I bet they crack down fucking hard on foreigners. it's just not worth it. you don't need to get high during the trip. I just don't understand why someone would risk that

Enforcement

Cannabis can be found openly sold in bars and restaurants in certain parts of the country.[6] In tourist heavy areas cannabis is commonly found, businesses openly sell "happy" goods which have cannabis in them. Cannabis dealers sometimes work with police who shakedown customers and demand a bribe. Many tourists do end up in jail despite the relaxed attitude.[7]

Up until a year ago I spent 4 out of 5 years in Thailand. Drugs are quite safe to get/use here if you do them in the right places. Pretty much every island in Thailand has at least one bar that sells both weed and mushrooms openly.

Nah was all there. They likely simply didn't care. This area is full of bars where you can smoke openly, I and some Thais were smoking on the beach an hour ago. I'm now sitting at a rooftop restaurant while smoking a j and waiting for my lunch.
